Franciacorta and extra brut sparkling wine
Franciacorta
A new and recent enological experience comes true for our family: to be able to produce a sparkling wine using the traditional method, a product born of this diverse area which lies between Lake Sebino and Mount Orfano.
The Land
The Franciacorta region is a vast area characterized by an important variability for both the morphology of the soil from which it is composed, as well as the microclimatic conditions. It is influenced in some parts by a mild climate typical of the lake area and by a glacial basin which is characteristic of the central part. Then the area of Mount Orfano and the eastern alpine hills at the base of Val Trompia. A remarkable variety of landscapes which we have discovered and where we have managed to achieve a wide and rich range of expressive nuances, present in our sparkling wine.
Vines and grapevines
We produce a sparkling wine Franciacorta Extra Brut DOCG, a sparkling Blanc de Blancs using the Traditional Method produced 100% through the vinification of the Chardonnay grape. The wine remains for at least 30-32 months in natural yeast for the re-fermentation in the bottle.
This, combined with the care in all stages of cultivation and processing, makes the aromatic profile and perlage distinctive in our wine.
